Our Voice

LGBTQ+

We are all different and unique and at The College we celebrate diversity and promote equality. We believe that everyone has the right to express their individuality and we strive to create an inclusive, accepting and tolerant community.

In this toolkit, you will find links to organisations that can support you and offer advice on coming to terms with your sexuality, understanding these feelings and coming out to others.

If you feel you have ever been a victim of discrimination, it is important to report this behaviour and not suffer alone.

Our counselling service is also available for you to discuss problems in a safe, confidential space with a qualified, professional counsellor, helping you to see things from a different perspective, think and act more productively and feel more confident in yourself.

We work closely with local drug and alcohol agencies if you feel you need a referral to a specialist service.

We would like to empower and support you to take care of yourself as a whole, to educate you and provide easy access to condoms and lube, reducing the risk of catching a sexually transmitted infection. We’re here to provide advice, support and information for a healthier community.

We overcome and help with integration, address issues caused or intensified by prejudice and give full access to support and public services.
