I had exam arrangements at school. Can I get them at College?

We have to re-apply for all access arrangements, they do not just carry on. If you had exam arrangements at school, please come and see us straight away. If you can ask your old school for your ‘Form 8 Exam Access Arrangements’ paperwork we can use it to apply for new arrangements quite quickly.

If you have not had exam access arrangements before but you, your parents or teachers think that you would benefit from additional exam support such as extra time, reader, or scribe then come and talk to us as soon as possible to be booked in for an assessment. Please be aware this process takes time, there are cut off dates of about 6 weeks before an exam so don’t leave it to the last minute!

Yes! Please come and see us for support. You may also be eligible for additional support called DSA. We can help with advice and some of the assessment for this.

I have an EHCP, how will you support me?

We will listen to you. You will be given your own Learning Support Caseload tutor who will meet you regularly and will be a first contact point for both you and your parents. They will check that your course tutors know how best to support you.

You may be offered a range of additional support that suits your needs. This may include college tours during the summer holiday to help you feel relaxed and familiar when term begins.

Your caseload tutor will organise and run your Annual Review Meetings and create action plans to help meet your needs.
