What is world mental health day?

 

 

WHO, or the World Health Organisation, raises awareness for mental health each year on the 10th of October. They promote campaigns, resources, and more. You can find more information here.

We are Dorset Mind; a pioneering local charity that has been supporting local people with mental health challenges since 1946. We educate, challenge mental health stigma and inequality, and promote recovery by empowering individuals to develop resilience.


Our support groups, counselling and accredited befriending service help people regain social skills. We also deliver educational wellbeing programmes for schools and workplaces and provide volunteer opportunities across all areas of our organisation.
