They are here to help you to develop and expand your employability skills, ensuring you are well prepared for future success in your next steps such as apprenticeships or upcoming employment. They will work with you via one-to-one, group work and online learning around a variety of topics that will build your resilience, confidence and independence.

We recognise that your success here at The College is not just about academic achievement. We want to make sure you also develop essential transferrable skills that will ensure you feel confident and excited for your next steps after your time at The College. We want you to become career ready, work ready and life ready!
This year we have partnered with BeReady to offer students on our full time study programme a wide-ranging and exciting Employability Skills Programme.
You will have Employability listed on your timetable and this will enable you to access the online learning. This learning will give you certificated and accredited learning hours which is widely recognised by employers, Higher Education institutions and Training Providers. This will ensure that alongside your academic achievement, who will stand out from the crowd in a competitive environment.

Taking part in this programme will help you to feel more confident, become more resilient and keep you focused on your career goals.
Alongside your online Employability Skills Programme, you will also have access to the support and knowledge of Employability Skills Coaches. Your Employability Skills Coaches will work with you in small groups or on a 1:2:1 basis to offer you tailored employability coaching.
This year we are also hosting our Festival of Employment. This will be a unique day in your timetable offering an interactive programme available to all students, aimed at raising your aspirations, and developing key skills such as communication, resilience and networking. This will be held in February 2021 so keep your eyes peeled for more updates coming soon!
