Last year over 1000 students gave over 1300 hours up to volunteer and give back to their community!
Volunteering is great for meeting new people, improving your CV, it teaches you new skills and helps your local area. It can enhance your studies and give you real knowledge of your community and the causes you care about. There’s so many positives to volunteering that we can’t think of a reason not to join BPCSU volunteering!
Whether you have just an hour to give or a whole day there are tonnes of opportunities throughout the year to get involved in!
This year we are also launching a Volunteering Club as one of our Clubs & Societies’. If Volunteering’s your kind of thing, Volunteering Club is your kind of Club!
See Clubs & Societies page for more info.
This is the third year we have had a nominated SU charity! This means every fundraising event we do will be in aid of an amazing local cause.
Julia’s House provides practical and emotional support for families caring for a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, providing frequent and regular support in their own homes, in the community or at their hospices.
This charity was chosen by students as they decided the wellbeing of children is an important issue to address and support. For more information or to donate please go to their website www.juliashouse.org.
Look out for our charity events throughout the year where we will be supporting Julia’s House!
